The trick is to ignore what the image is actually about. It's not a painting of a fishy doing the unspeakable to a kitty. It's an image which demonstrates texture, form and composition. The image is one which captures a certain feeling, a mood, maybe a depiction of what the artist believes are the simple pleasures of life? It could very well be, the cat, is not a cat at all, and the fish.. well not a fish. They could simply be symbols of modern life as we see fit. There's also a plen-air feel about it. A simple composition and technique exists to which the eye is led directly to the where fish meets cat. A classical mathematical composition could also be assumed. The main body of the cat being balanced by the background shadow, the bowl coinciding with the table, the head of the cat balanced by the fish. Well... that's what I told the local law authorities who seized my computer and questioned me about this, and many other images which mysteriously appeared on my hard drive...

As a result of a second person (obviously a single suggestion would have absolutely no effect on a procrastinating page such as this) bringing it up on the message board (BTW feel free to post there) there is a new poll. It's where the old poll was, on the left side below the ugly mugshots of cute little cousins or cute stuffed animals (WTF). Results of the old poll are available in the Articles section.
Well these days DVDs (and dodgier/cheaper VCDs) are slowly encroaching on ye old video territory, which relegates the little black boxes to recording TV shows, right? Right?
Well not anymore! Say hello to TiVo, an advanced VCR replacement unit which runs on Unix and records shite on an internal hard disk. This baby even suggests shows for you to watch, and records them too. Damn, it's like 48932326750698 times better than a VCR for recording TV shows, enough to turn even the most life be in it mofo into a hardcore couch potato.
Interested? Check out Ars' goodies review of the unit. Though knowing the oh-so-fast way in which Australia adopts technology (backwards bastards) I'm sure it won't hit our shores for a good few years, it's a cool concept. Besides, I want that remote.

Why swim, when you can DIVE in style. Take a look at the ultimate in big boy's toys, the Luxury Submarine
This thing is hella cool, sure beats the crap out of a campervan. Should anyone have copious amounts of money lying around (ie enough to buy a luxury submarine) feel free to give some to me. Alternatively, head on over to US Sub's Phoenix Luxury Sub website to check out the deal (my vote's for sending the money to me though).

You might remember him from the Madonna - Music video clip. I hope they show the series down under, though I don't know, australia poor arse country factor rates a good 9 out of 10. I guess this site is decent enough to look at, although there's nothing good out there that I've come accross yet.
RESPECT! KEEPIN' ET REAL!
Peace.
OMFG 3 posts in one day, am I like hyper-web-active today or what (makes up for the two weeks of web-hibernation I guess). Anyway, most of you must have seen one of those 'Rate my face' type sites (eg. Rate My Face or Am I Hot Or Not), but here's an entertaining spin on it: Am I Stoned or Not.
Submit your picture today to find out! (In case you weren't really sure...?)
Ooo, look look Colin finally got off his arse and published his web site! Check it out at Rantage.
Somewhat sporadic updates (like me!?) but solid content all the same. Go check it out!
Donna just pointed this out, in case any of you Asians out there felt the need to rap to your own tune, or want to see other 'Asian Gangsta raps' feel free to visit http://www.aznraps.com.
And I quote:

Yeah baby, fixed it, muahaha. So it looks like I'll be staying on Tripod for a while yet, but still if anyone has any suggestions as to alternate, free, ad-less hosting feel free to tell me about it.
Anyhoo, Rochelle and I (and Rochelle's sister) went out to see Cast Away today (starring Tom Hanks, and a volleyball named Wilson). Pretty good movie, both of them liked it too (Rochelle cried, because it was 'really emotional') Tom Hanks did well to hold up the whole movie on his own (especially seeing that most of it was him and only him). Well worth the $10.50.
Argh, WTF. Tripod's forced its ad banners onto my page! I'm switching them to pop up ads I guess, it's the lesser of two evils. PLUS, now all the images are fubar-ed - what the hell is going on!?!? Anyone with hosting suggestions feel free to put them forth, because this whole Tripod thing is being shitty =[

Stupid wogs WTF. I leave her alone for like 5 minutes and stupid shit like this happens. BTW, no offence intended to the non-Rochelle-rolling people of mediterrenean descent out there. The semi-good news at least is that the phone was insured and she should be able to get a new one by paying a premium of about $100, but that still doesn't make rolling people cool (ie bullshit to 'but since it's insured noone loses').
Other than that she was calmed down by today so things are more OK now. Carl Cox was playing at some party at Metro so we had to wade through a shiteload of post-club clubbers going to detox at Pavillion this morning to get food making ingredients from Coles this morning. Fuck if it hasn't been a very long time since I was one of those trashed-as post-clubbing wasted mofos. Oh well, you miss it and you don't, and I'm fine without these days anyhow.
I've got a few humourous e-mail thingies to put up, but damnit if I'm not being a bloody lazy cunt today. Oh yeah, happy Australia Day everyone. For the hell of it I'll insert a 5 minute search very dodgey looking aussie flag.

SHITTIESTTT DAY OF MY LIFE!!! DICKHEADS GALORE DAY... Any way my phone (8210 that John gave me for my b-day last year) got stolen today. We were about to go to Changs's party, then I decided to dropped by at the convenience store acroos the road from John's apartment on the way to meet John outside the parking lot Chang rang and as I was talking to him, 5 guys started walking towards me and sorrounded me, three on the left two on the right, then all of a sudden the guy on the right just grabbed it of me and I started grabbing it back while I was screaming for help, but for fuck sake no one even tried to help =[ so i was so shocked, confused and everything I didnt know what to do..... Up to know im still not over it a bit.. But John's been great today comforting me and accompanying me to the police staion and that.. Well I just hope it's Monday again so I can harass Optus to give me a new phone.. This was the first time it happened to me so Im a bit Shocked, got a few bruises and sore knee cos as I was trying to grab it back I fell on the ground =[ ...... Very fucking Shit day, but anyway Happy Birthday Chang!!!!! =]
I know this is kind of old news (actually about october 2000 news), but I only saw it for the first time today. The Sony VAIO QR laptop looks rather slick. As far as I can tell, its still only available in Japan though. Kinda shows how much japan ownz the rest of the world.. heheh. Plenty more style is going into computer design now, much like other consumer electronics (walkmans, md players, etc etc).. especially since the apple iMac. Speaking of which, the much newer Titanium Apple Powerbook looks quite stylish as well... sugoi~

Ok, haven't posted in a while and for good reasons. Money, and the work that comes with it. Anyway, to all of you who are planning to watch Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, I have a suggestion to make. After watching the movie, don't forget to line up at the box office and buy another ticket, cuz chances are, you're gonna want to watch it again!!! It's not really a movie for the martial arts movie connisseour [did I spell that right?], it's far more than just a chop-socky movie. Anyway, it's great. Go and watch it at 'normal' theaters this Thursday I think, or go to a Palace cinema [in Sydney] and go nuts.

Chucking around the links on the right a bit, TripleOptix is still by far the biggest referrer, with AntiClimatic coming a far second. I scored a few hits from LeeLee's Weblog, so I'm chucking her on the link list too. Check out the sites, they're an entertaining read ('specially TripleOptix, but then again I bets most of you know that anyways).
Yes, Rochelle and I wandered out to another club on Saturday night, this time Mocha @ Hunter bar (or something like that) to see off Sufarnie (she's heading off to Malaysia for a few weeks). Plenty of people were in attendance (tho' I've gotta say it looked like there was going to be a bigger crowd at cube) including Sufarnie & co., Mike and Dre from TripleOptix, Wanis & co. from uni (who I haven't seen for 4387340673 weeks even though he lives 5 minutes from my parents house now), plus Connie and Rochelle's friends.
Was good to catch up with friends (I've been so ignoring networking these days) but FUCK that place was a sauna. Most of the above piked a few hours in because it was so bloody hot, and we chucked it in a bit later too. We managed to share a cab on the way back as well, bus fare cost for a cab ride is king. Weirdly enough, the cab driver on the way to the club was chatting to his 3 year old son on the mobile whilst driving and passed Rochelle the phone when the driving got tricky. Very WTF, but the boy was cute (Burger King!). All in all a not bad night, Rochelle only cigarette burned me once (WTF).

Yes, responding to comments that I'm being a slack arse from a certain someone (hi Colin!) I've decided to update... Well I've been bumming around the past few days, playing an old computer game (HOMM3 anyone?). Entertaining game, but it tends to just suck the time in, especially since I picked up the expansion (Thursday night shopping at Parra Westfields - wtf, it's like one huge club or something).
Anyhow, the other night when I was working(ienot being a slack arse) the entire Cashcard system went down due to the Kogarah building getting evacuated (firescare or something, nfi). Besides the fact that the 3 staff unfortunate enough to be left at work at the time (self included) were on the phones non-stop call after call for 3+ hours, most of the customers were actually OK about having their ATMs/EFTPOS machines being out of order for the night. The notable exception of course being some lamer from a bar in the city somewhere, who wouldn't give me his ATM ID - no, he gave me his address instead, demanding a letter of apology for 'making' him miss a movie and dinner since he was busy waiting on the phone for an hour or something (what a lame arse) after which his phone cut off - I'd say a result of being in the call queue for about an hour. SUCKED IN.

Something Awful again
Looks like Something Awful isn't quite about to die yet...instead, Lowtax has posted an interesting piece with his take on The State of the Internet, as it were... read it? That's all I have to say...
Monday, January 15, 2001
Say hi to my 3 year old psycho cousin on web cam. ^-^ He beats up on 8 year olds right now, and with a bit of training by me he'll be up too 10 year olds soon. :D Be more destructive please!
Apparently, Something Awful is closing down...at least according to this post by LowTax. Damnit, one less site to procrastinate on. And no more JeffK either ..hehhe...hm..
ALL YUOR BASE ARE BELONG TO US?
...not any more.

Well we're here at Cashcard and we're as bored as shit (we = me and Rochelle, she's just visiting) so we're watching Road Trip on dodgey VCD on my laptop. Excellent movie, 8 out of 10 procrastination factor if you've got nothing to do, especially so if you don't have to go to the video store to borrow it (go dodgey VCD copy!). Well worth watching, even if you've seen it before.

Why TAFE Sucks. Part 3.
I received my results in the mail the other day. I was pleased with my majority passes, all but 2 subjects, of which I was told I passed. MicroProcessor Fundamentals and PC System Support. This isn't going to be a long bitch though. :P Basically, I should have been eligible to receieve my award now, but, my lecturer, being away half the time during the year (long service leave) has again left and won't be back 'till the 22nd of January. So I have to sit in uncertainty about my grades untill then, without my poor arse certificate. Thier service to thier students is inversely proportional to thier greed. They were quick enough to threaten me with legal action etc etc if I didn't pay them. *sigh*

New words for a new millineum.
Received this in the mail from Jonaline, contains such gems as:
Seagull Manager - A manager, who flies in, makes a lot of noise, craps over everything, and then leaves.
(We had one of these...ugh). Worth a read.
Jealous wife cuts off cheating husband's testicle
WTF! Sure he might have been cheating, but isn't this a bit extreme?
I've just realised that TripleOptix is my biggest referrer, so y'all go check it out. It's a top site!
Hey what the hell there's a Dilbert cartoon?! TV at work rules.
I know you want it, and I know I want it. Well, I don't want to look as gross as the abs on the title bar of this website, but better that than fat? Anyway, go here for abs like a ravioli wtf? ^-^
WTF is that Brad game? I totally had no idea...anyway, I ended up killing a Greek dude while looking for pants, and made it look like a suicide... WTF indeed. Anyway, final score was 1893, not like it made sense or anything... Wow, it seems that I have stiff competition in the nocturnal department, with Nick and Mike also finding it repulsive to sleep at regular times like the rest of the human population. I slept around 7.30 in the morning, it was crazy, my dad was up and ready to go to work, and I'm getting ready for bed. I don't think I can beat Mike's feat though, waking up at 8 pm, I bow to the master, lord of the nocturnals... His body clock runs on Pacific Standard Time in California =P That is just shocking dude... I'm in awe.

Brad. The Game.
My first score was 693, time to try it again. This is truly an excellent way to waste time. Procrastination factor 6.5.
Well since i just got my computer back up with Win98 which doesnt even let me post on this site so i have to get nick to do it thank thank ^^. Im doing pretty much the same as all you guys are doing right now Downloading all the crap again only on some crappy dial up. Yes well i wacthed Ninja Scroll again tonite just seems to get better and better everytime i wacth it. Also manged to watch all the Ranma 1/2 the movie once again seems to get better with age just like a fine red wine. Which brings me to another point while changing the video's around i managed to catch a bit of the late night news and what was brought to my antention was they are now selling Red Wine in Cans. So instead of going up and asking for a Flagen of Goon it is now G'Day mate can i have a slab or your finest red. (Oh BTW this post was Ghost's doing.)
np ^-^
Hahah Mav, join the club. If you wanna get back into normal sleeping hours, you gotta stay up and don't go to sleep this morning 'till your normal bedtime, no matter how hard it is. Well that's what I do anyway. Although, I believe the best time to watch anime is at 12-6 in the morning in the dark :D Any other time and the atmosphere just doesn't seem right. Anyways, I just woke up, can you tell by the cam shot? :P And I must attend to the daily ritual of korn flakes. Most important meal of the day ^_^. Oh, how do I get my hands on Kenshin eps? :( Perth eat's **** and I don't have the 40 bucks some of these shops charge for each episode... Money is the key to end all your woes, your ups and downs your highs and your lows, can you tell me last time that love bought your clothes? It's like that. And that's the way it is. UH!
It's almost 4 in the morning, and I don't even feel tired in the slightest. Why? Because for the past 3 weeks, I've been sleeping at 5 am. Once, I was [still] online, when an ICQ message popped up. My friend was sending me his greetings, in which I promptly replied and asked what the hell was he doing at this ungodly hour. The reply was a tad shocking. "I just woke up..." Then I realized it was already 6 something. I've turned into a vampire of some sorts. But what concerns me is what I do during the period between 11 pm and 4.30 am [y'know, normal sleeping hours]. It goes in the order of: Work, mindless surfing, eat, mindless surfing, Counter-Strike, eat, Counter-Strike, eat, Counter-Strike... Notice a pattern going? I realize this is not good for the body nor the noggin, as I feel totally wasted during the day. I need help. Seriously I need help. Otherwise, pretty soon I'll be a sandwich short of a picnic.
But now, it's time to watch some Kenshin videos before I hit the pillows...
The Burn Maker... Perfect for sledging your ex or other loathed ones.

I am the king. In a vain attempt to make my computer work better, I formatted the bastard whilst saving all my stuff to a second hard disk. After reinstalling everything and then realising that I had fucked it up a second time, I formatted the bastard again. Right after I'd MOVED all my stuff back onto the original hard disk. Good bye 5 gigs of MP3s, Applications, game savegames, mail, etc etc.
Now I'm beginning the oh so slow process of downloading everything again, starting with about 50 megs of drivers (gooo Creative!).
By the way, if anyone has any good MP3s to share... =[
Joined the Blog This! webring.
I'm such a link-slut sometimes.
Hey all, haven't posted for a while. I've been putting off looking for work for quite some time now, and I decided it's time to really start looking. I'll have cash in hand in no time. Also... Well, All I've been doing it sitting around watching anime's and... and... that's all.Cya ^-^
Hey, Chang's finally got a cam on TripleOptix, and has dragged Dre in on the thing too... Watch their zany antix @ TripleOptix

Well half way into my 9.5 hou shift and things are fine. This Codral crap is Good Shit (TM). I don't feel like I have a cold at all, and I'm even right under the fucking air conditioning duct (WTF they turn it on full blast during the days, and leave it completely off during the weekends/nights).
Anyhow, I think the Codral's wearing off, time for a refill.
Argh, I feel like crap. I can't believe I've taken 2 sick days from work, they're like the first 2 days I've ever taken off due to sickness, bloody hell. Well, in an hour I'm dragging my Codral-drugged-up ass to Cashcard one way or another, so expect to see me posting whinges from work.

Song o the moment: Destiny's Child - Dot from the Charlie's Angels soundtrack. A dodgey movie, and the soundtrack was mostly old stuff, but there was one or two good songs on it.

I received the following dispatch via e-mail, I thought this was important enough to pass on to my procrastinating readers:
***IMPORTANT WARNING*** If a man comes to your front door and says he is conducting a survey and asks you to show him your tits - DO NOT SHOW HIM YOUR TITS. This is a scam and he is only trying to SEE YOUR TITS. This is very serious. Please forward this email to as many friends as possible and warn other tit bearers that their tits may be at risk to exposure.

Hey happy new year all, I've been procrastinating about my NY post and NYE report but I guess I should chuck it in now...
Well being the lost Rochelle-less bastard that I was for NYE I totally didn't plan anything, and was gonna sit it out at home, except Amit put forth that there was some drinking to be had at Uni Lodge, so that became the plan.
We rockered over to Charlie's place at Uni Lodge for a few drinks, caught the 9PM fireworks from the roof, and headed back into the city. Chang (Mike of TripleOptix fame) hooked us up at a party he was DJ-ing at (Def Jam @ City Hotel) but first we watched the fireworks from the King St Wharf. Excellent view, and we didn't have to camp out for like 12 hours to get it. 360 degree fireworks!
Other than that we bummed around at Def Jam all night, and come morning rockered back to my place (with Mike lugging his 20Kg record box - WTF). Breakfast and post-party discussions followed, and then everyone zoned out and went home to sleep (except Sahn, who fell asleep here).
All in all not a bad NYE. Woulda been better if 'chelle was here tho =[

Rah rah rah, happy new year.. - seems like the current trend. Oh NY was 2 days ago, and thus i serve the legion of procrastination.
Hidden Dragon, Crouching Tiger - i have vcd if anyone wants it - it was in Singapore in June thx gw. It has 3 stupendous fight scenes, one retarded ending and an extra sprinkling of spastic moon-walking rather than the old-fashioned air-running ( no more whup-whup-whup-whup running sounds ). Someone tell me why she cant fly at the end and must use horse. Cant say anymore or else I'll reveal that Chow Yun Fat is actually Michelle Yeoh the 'Invincible Eunuch' ( if you believe that you'd believe anything i say)

Fucking format.
