Speaking of Telstra, through some sort of 'mistake' yesterday they managed to CHANGE our phone number. WHAT THE HELL!? The phone line was out during the day, fair enough I thought they were enabling ADSL at the exchange or something. Then later on when the phone line gets a dial tone again, we try ringing it, and the calling phone hears a ringing, but the phone itself doesn't ring. Maybe it's diverting to voicemail we think, so Shirley dials my mobile from the house phone and a different phone number comes up. WTF! I didn't know they could do that shit!!! Harrassing Telstra thereafter reveals that 'An error has occured, it will be fixed NEXT WEEK'. Shit me. If they weren't hooking me up with ADSL so soon it'd be time to swap over to Optus.
